ENG: Lucas Trihey completed the first west-east crossing of the Simpson Desert in June 2006.
He travelled 400km on foot, unsupported, solo, through the geographical centre of the desert pulling a cart with water and food that weighed 160kg at the start of the journey. His trip lasted 17 days and was done without resupply and without a support vehicle.

FRA: Lucas Trihey a réalisé la première traversée Ouest-Est du désert de Simpson en Juin 2006. Il a parcouru 400 km à pied, sans assistance, seul, en passant par le centre du désert. Il tira une charrette contenant son eau et ses vivres qui pesait 160kg au départ de son voyage. Il a mis 17 jours et cela sans réapprovisionneement ni l'aide d'un véhicule de support. Lucas me donne des infos et conseils, et photos sur le désert.
